Kumbh Mela: A Gathering

If one feels India is a land of amazement, then to reinforce this belief one must visit the Kumbh Mela.

In 2013 we embarked on a journey to Allahabad to witness the largest gathering of humans on the surface of the earth for a common cause — bathing in the Ganges. There was nothing religious about it for us. Just a #gathering

And along with this movement of mankind, one gets to witness peoples way of life or rather their emotional and physical expressions.

At the confluence, known as Triveni Sangam, of the three sacred rivers of India – Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati an estimated 19.3 million were present at the Sangam on 15 February 2013.

Will you not call this a #gathering ?…
